Hi,
When you open Enterprise Manager, I notice a red squiggly line on top of the green arrow through some of the database server icons. On others, I just see the green arrow. What is this squiggly line?
THanks. Jeff
Many thanks. Jeff

What SQL Server version do you have?
Is the red squiggly line only on Server icons that you have expanded?

I see the red squiggly line when I've paused the SQL Server service.

Each server (instance) has it's own service, so it's probably showing which ones are still running. There's a tool bar icon for the SQL Services also, and it shows the same red squigly.
Course I could be backwards and it could be showing the ones that are stopped.

Hi,
I'm using SQL 7 EM. All servers with the red squiggly lines are running ...
Many thanks. Jeff

In 7.0 Enterprise Manager, the red squiggly line indicates that you are connected to the server. Right click on one and select "disconnect" and the red squiggly will go away.
