(SQL Server 2000 Client tools on a XP Pro Workstation accessing a SQL Server 2000 Enterprise with Windows 200 Advanced Server.)
I try to go in and generate a script of the indexes of a table using Enterprise Manager and I get the following error:
[SQL-DMO]Create File error on 'Servername.Databasename.DP1'.
Both machines have SP4 installed and all of windows latest updates. I have tried to reinstall the client tools on my workstation, but I still get the same error.
It used to work, but I assume that one of the Windows Updates overwrote something. That's why I tried to reinstall.
I can access this machine and generate scripts from other machines, just not mine.
Any ideas?

To my knowledge, one reason for this is MCAFee Virus Program.
MCAFee creates problem with Windows-XP but not with Windows 2000.
If MCAFee is installed, then uninstall that and try using another anti-virus or think of second option of installing windows 2000.
Hope this helps,

See response by MS Online Support - Sameer is correct, it is due to McAfee.
