  An Access application linked to a SQL7 view generated an ODBC timeout error. I went to Enterprise Manager on the server to check out the view. I was suprised to see the same ODBC timeout error when I tried to open the view.

  Does Enterprise Manager use ODBC to access the databases?

  Maybe I shouldn't be suprised...but I never saw this before.

  It'll use the connection as you defined it in the linked server configuration.
