Hi
I have been asked to look for an encryption software for SQL and workstations, do you have any suggestions?

What are some of the requirements? The applications used to encrypt SQL Server and the ones to do full disk encryption or even partial encryption on workstations are not the same. To better answer your question, we need a bit more detail to point you in the right direction.

I have been asked for a high level encyption software that can encrypt the entire disk of a workstation, and also to look for a whole disk SQL Encryption & an archiving solution that will give us compliance to oxley for a SQL 2005.
Sorry details are lacking, bit of a pain im not a SQL expert so i do apologise.

Whole disk encryption for workstations... Vista has BitLocker. 3rd party leaders include PointSec & Safeboot. There are a few others in that space, but it's been a while since I've had to look at it.

I haven't read it yet, but the September issue of SQL Server Magazine has an article: "Buyer's Guide: Database Encryption Solutions." You might want to get a copy and check it out.
I have no personal experience with SQL or disk encryption, so I have nothing else to offer you. Good luck!
