enabling service broker

    Hi Folks,

    is it good practice to enable the service broker for an instance. Why would that be?

    I am getting errors that Server-Level event notification can not be delivered in the event log

    It's enabled for database mail, so I don't think there's anything wrong with turning it on.

    If you don't use database mail or any messaging (which is what service broker is for) then you don't need to turn it on. What part of the error you see refers to service broker?

    Well its a operations manager alert I am getting telling me best practice is to enable the service broker.

    I am wondering why it would be best practice to do this.
