Hi Experts,
We downloaded the image below from VLSC and install it on the server. We paid, and the product key is embedded.
Do SQL images downloaded from Volume licensing Center expire? Do these images come as a trial or once i install it's done.
I am afraid to wake up one day and find databases not accessible. Please help me to understand how this works,i am new to SQL
Thank you

No images expire. There isn't an expiration date for any key. The only issue would be in an audit where someone might compare the key used to your agreement.

You are welcome.
Just a note, overall licensing for SQL Server is an admin thing. You need to track and have the licenses for all instances that require them, mostly just production use items. You could install the same product key for every instance, and I know some people have done this, but they have records of all purchases in case there is an audit. The key is checked for a valid key, but not if it's already been used in an install.
