Hi,
Des anyone have some advice. I have a report with a logo that is an embedded object. This report is used for formal notifications and therefore requires the logo to appear on the report.
Once the report is run, the user mails it as an attachment using the "M&ail Recipient (as Attachment) control , which gives him various options to choose. If you choose "Snapshot" then the report is fine and the logo is visible to the recipient and they can print the official form. If the users user RTF then the logo disappears.
The problem I have is that the people receiving the mail do not all have the ability to open an *.snp file, but they all have the ability to open an rft file.
Is there a way to ensure that the embedded logo pulls through to an rft mail attachment..
Many thanx
Carla

If it's a matter of the end user needing the Snapshot Viewer from MS use this link, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=b73df33f-6d74-423d-8274-8b7e6313edfb&displaylang=en , otherwise the issue is that rtf files convert objects to lines and an image won't convert. The snapshot is the best option.
Another option would be to install the CutePDF Printer on the local machine and print the report to a .pdf file then email the .pdf to your end users. You can even code all of this or let someone run the process manually.
Regards,
Matt

Hi ,
Thank you for your help ... the first option seems to be the easiest and most convenient.
Ciao
