I'm trying to script out all of my database objects. I'm using EM, Generate SQL Script, Script all objects, Script database, database users, databse roles, SQL Server logins, object-level permissions, indexes, and Primary/Foreign keys. Each to its own file.
When this process is complete, I have 2.18 MB of scripts in my folder.
However, if I run this (EM, Generate SQL Script, etc) and try to save these files to a drive that only has 20 MG of free space, I run out of space before the process is complete.
How come creating 2.18 MB of scripts takes up more than 20 MB in the process?
Thanks to anyone who can shed light on this for me.

I do not believe that it is the EM at fault. It's the OS. You're probably a victem of disk fragmentation.
