In the last 3-4 days when I click on the server name in EM I start getting the message:
"A connection could not be established to ...server name
Reason: Time out expired
Please, verify that the server is running and check registration properties"
I did get the same error from the other machines in the company.
I close the message, and then when I right click to server and select connect - everything is OK - I'm connected as normal.
I do not have any issues with this server - running pretty good- no slow down or time out errors, etc.
Is this show a possible problem? What do I need to do?
Thanks,
MJ

did you adjust connection-timeout settings in EM or QA ?

I used to get this all the time too. TOOLS --> OPTIONS --> ADVANCED tab in EM. Increase the "Login Time-out"

Thanks a lot.
I did adjust the time-out with the initial SQL server installation - I usually do that for every server as we are having network problems all the time. After your replays I did check this morning and the time was not the one I put... I do not believe I forgot the do it for this server, but it's possible, or some of the developers has changed it.
Anyway this solved the problem.
Thanks very, very much.
