Effect of .net on sql server

    Please let me know if we remove .net 2.0 from server then any effect on sql server 2005.

    Don't remove it. It is a requirement.

    This question has come up before and IIRC .NET FW is not listed as a requirement for the product itself. It is required for the installer, however once installed it is alleged that SQL Server itself does not need it to function unless you are using .NET features (e.g. SQLCLR or Geography types).

    There are no special teachers of virtue, because virtue is taught by the whole community.
