Editing Migrated SSIS packages and uploading back to the serverto run as job

  • I migrated a package from SQL Server 2000 in Server A to server B having SQL Server 2005. After migrating, the package was seen under the 'MSDB' in the server B. I then opened up BIDS in my local machine and tried to bring down the package to my machine to edit it. I did this by right clicking 'SSIS Packages' by selecting 'Add Existing Package' option. i was able to get a copy of the package on my machine. When i clicked on the package, the properties window on the right hand side of the screen showed "CreaterComputerName" as Server 'B'. Iam really confused at this :D....so if i make any changes to the packges on my machine, how will i upload it back to Server B so that i could run it as an Agent Job. what are the steps for this process?? i have administrator rights in both the servers.

    Thanku

  • I think you must first migrate your DTS 2000 package to BIDS, convert in to SSIS package and next read this thread:
