So I just installed 2005......lots of cool stuff! But like many other ppl I'm attempting to do the same things that I did with 2000 and I'm a little lost.
I'm used to opening up EM and right clicking a table and selecting "query ". It would open the table in designer and allow me to edit my statement and run it. The nice thing about this is I could edit the cells. How do you run a custom query in 2005 and still be able to edit the cells?

Open the table - hit the red "Stop" button at the bottom. Edit the query the way you used to. There's no more option to Query or get Top 1000. 🙁
I think Kimberly Tripp covered this the other day in her Webcast series (www.sqlskills.com).

Thanks...I'll check out that link. I don't like having to move as fast as I can and hit the stop button so I don't return every freakin row in my table. Some tables have a lot of data. So far 2005 is cool but that really sucks!
