Easy Listening

    1. Queen rules! (Live at Wembley)
    2. Cold Play (all 3 albums)
    3. James Blunt (Back to Bedlam)
    4. Evanescence (Fallen and An Open Door)
    5. Creed
  • Slayer- Reign In Blood

    Cradle Of Filth - Nymphetamine

    Pantara - Far Beyond Driven

    Slipknot - Slipknot

And my Easy Listening selection would be:

Black Sabbath - The Best of Black Sabbath

    Have a good one.

  • I guess it is easy to see how wide the definition of "easy listening" is in the grand scheme of things... that being said my top 5 are:

Metallica - ...And Justice For All

Pantera - Vulgar Display of Power

    Lamb of God - Sacrament

    Trivium - The Crusade

    AC/DC - Back in Black

  • Loreena McKinnet - Live From Paris & Toronto

Les Miserables - Original Cast 10th Anniversary

  • 1. Muddy Waters Box Set (ok thats for discs)

    2. Allman Brothers Live at Fillmore East

    3. Mahler's Symphony #1

    4. Best of Louis Armstrong

    5. Dave Ray (Snake Eyes)

    Cheers

  •  I have to run home and look at my CD collection, but, here is a best guess:

    AC/DC - Back in Black

    REO Speedwagon - High Infidelity

    Pat Benatar's Greatest Hits

    Joan Jett's Greatest Hits

    Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits

  • I know my music collection is a little different from the norm. Here's the first five that came to my mind.

Tokyo Kosei Wind Orchestra - Guest Conductor Series #4

Eastman Wind Ensemble - British and American Band Classics

    Eastman Wind Ensemble - Screamers

Cleveland Symphonic Winds - Stars & Stripes Forever

Blossom Festival Band - Blossom Festival Band

  • Can I skip the CD's and pack a couple of books of equal size instead?

    I can live without music.

  • Well here's one list for variety:

    • Rolling Stones - Hot Rocks '64-'71
    • Metallica - The Black Album
    • Carlos Santana - Supernatural
    • Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
    • The Clash - The Essential Clash

Definite runner-ups would be PF - Dark Side of the Moon; Def Leppard - Rock of Ages; and U2 - The Joshua Tree. There's just way too many artists to limit it to 5.

  • Definitely Decade by Neil Young, then next maybe these, like another said, tomorrow would probably be a different list,

    Pink Floyd Greatest Hits,

    2nd set Allman Brothers

    Stevie Wonder Greatest Hits,

    REM

    1. Sasha & John Digweed - Northern Exposure
    2. Sandra Collins - Perfecto Presents Sandra Collins
    3. James Holden - Balance 005
    4. Sander Kleinenberg - This is Everybody Too
    5. Der Laborant - Kontakt

I'm mostly into DJ sets, but those are the discs I would bring.

  • I definitely have to give 2 thumbs up to Jerrian Themmen's list.  Floyd and Zepplin are necessities.  But if I'm stuck on an island, why not have island music from the Great Jimmy Buffett.  The 5 Buffett albums I'd take:

    A1A

    Havana Daydreamin

Living & Dying in 3/4 Time

Any 2 others, they're all so good.

  • 1. Rolling Stones A Bigger Bang

    2. Little Feat Waiting for Columbus (Live)

    3. Yes Close to the Edge

    4. Bob Marley Babylon By Bus

    5. George Harrison All Things Must Pass

Pretty tough to cut it down to just 5. Little Feat alone would double the list, as would Yes. The Stones' catalog is almost to large to choose from, but Bigger Bang is (IMHO) the best in about 25 years.

  • Very tough decisions all around but here's my best...

Chiodos - All's Well That Ends Well

    Damien Rice - O

Spill Canvas - Sunsets and Car Crashes

Copeland - Beneath the Medicine Tree

Something Corporate - Leaving Through the Window (and if you have a heart at all, I can burn the song Konstantine onto the end of this album)

Most of you probably haven't heard of any of these bands. Go crazy and check one or two out.

The classic rock may be timeless and the death metal may make you feel like a BAMF but when it comes down to it, you're still stuck on a deserted island and me personally? I don't want to be bored

  • I would go the mp3 cd and have the following artists:

Pearl Jam (if you get a chance to see in concert - do it!!!!)

Stone Temple Pilots (best concert of my life)

    ACDC

John Mayer (wouldn't have thought of this one unless you brought it up)

    Eminem

The top 4 that I would delete out of existence before I went to the island:

    Grateful Dead

    Queen

    The Darkness

    Michael Bolton
