dynamic change of flat file mappings

  • thanks COzyRoc...yeha I got the message. ..It was a one time thing for me, since they have not saved any datafile from previous load before I came to this project.

I found the Data FLow Task Plus little confusing since I have never used it. when it comes to writing a VB or C# code , I find it challenging ( this is just me). It seems that I have to write some script on the task. So what I did was I used Export and Import wizard to create flat files and then I used Execute process task for zipping. I found U do have ZIP TASK too.......

So I was wondering if there was any example of this Data Flow Task PLus so that I can refer too in the future........

    Gkahdka,

I understand your frustration. For the dynamic data flow you don't have to do any scripting. The scripting is only needed if you want to setup configurable init parameters for a reusable data flow. If you click on the 'Dynamic' tab you can do point-and-click setup of the dynamic flow. It will list the available sources and destinations and you can decide which you would like to have dynamically setup, plus any extra parameters if needed. If you want to get a sample dynamic data flow, please contact us and we will provide a sample package.
