DWH'ing from scratch

    Hello,

     

    We are looking to build a data warehouse from scratch.  I was curious to know if someone might be able to point me in the right direction of a solid certification program for this?

    Maybe I'm a bit old-school, but I'm still a big fan of dimensional modelling based on the Kimball methodology.  I believe the Kimball group now operates as Decision Works, and they have some learning resources:

    As for certification, just remember that certification is neither necessary, nor sufficient, for someone to be proficient in their work.

    I started with Kimballs 2nd edition The Data Warehouse Toolkit.  Taught me all I needed to know.
