Does anyone know if it is possible to install a single processor license of SQL Server 2000 Standard edition on a dual processor machine?
Thanks in advance,
Billy

If it is possible, wouldn't it violate the license agreement?

It will violate the license agreement. The license agreement specifies the number of processors on the machine, not the number of processors intended for use.

So how do I determine and verify that a dual processor machine running ss2k has the appropriate licensing? am I just limited to the physical end user license agreements that come with the software?
thanks in advance,
Billy
