I have SQL Server 2000 client installed on my machine. I am accessing the server on other location. Here , now when i try to make the new package in the local packages, i am not getting the tasks . There it is asking for registering the tasks. say for example task to execute the activeX script etc.
But when i go to that server location, i am able to see all the tasks.
Pls help, how to get the different tasks on my machine which is accessing the SQL Server 2000 on the other location.

what is the exact error message you are getting? are you not able to see the task icons in the toolbox in dts designer?

Then DTS may not be properly installed. Reinstall your client and check.
