Please help! I have been asked to write DTS Standards. I am definately a newbie (< 2 years experience) and am unsure what to include. Any advice, or recommended readings, on:
DTS Security (password protect pkgs or not\deny access to sp_add_dtspackage to prevent saving on prod servers?)
Running DTS on a app server VS running on your SQL production servers
Saving pkgs-Which method is best? SQL Server Storage?
Naming Packages?
Any other suggestions, ideas, on what to include in a DTS Standards doc would be appreciated.

As far as where to save, Brian Knight addresses the issue in an article:

Security and the like I know we've discussed in the forums. You might do a search on it. I can't recall about when, but I remember it was towards the end of 2001.

Haven't really developed any as of yet. Be interested to see what you come up with.
