Hi!
I have a few DTS packages, protected by password. No one knows the password. People, who
created them say, that they are not needed anymore. So I want to delete them, but need to backup them (just in case). What DBs I have to backup, to backup the DTS packages?
Thanks.

How about just backing up msdb.
Or to be more selective you could perhaps look at the recent discussion thread with the title "Scripting a DTS package" started by drewj840 on 08/12/2003 @ 11:45:43.

By the time I may need to restore the package, the msdb database might change a lot and I can not afford to loose these changes. So I need a safe way to backup the package, protected by unknown password, only, and be able to restore it later, without changing other data.
