DTS package to hardcopy

  • Is there a tool that will take DTS packages and turn them into plain language without the graphics? i.e. list all the connection properties for a task or perhaps the workflow properties, but all the tasks within a package AND in the proper sequence? I'm currently running SQL2K and Win2K and don't see any upgrade in the immediate future. I am new to my company and this would go a long way in understanding what they are doing and also provide sorely needed documentation. Thanks.

  • You can save the package out as VB code. If you have anyone there who can read VB, it may be of use.

  • Is there an easy way to do it? I have around 100 packages on one server and I'm, of course looking for the easy way around it as opposed to opening each package. Thanks.

  • Thanks anyway. Found my answer. Amazing some on the things you can find in BOL!!
