Good Morning!
I'm having a problem getting my DTS package to run properly at night.
First off, a locates.csv file is created from a program called TouchstarResultsMaker at 8:17P.M. every night. Then at 9:00, the DTS package is scheduled to read the file and run a bunch of queries. (I'm not 100% sure all that it does)
My problem is, this DTS package doesn't recognize the file is there unless I open it, save it and close it.
I have set up an automation that will open and save and close this file but it has been failing lately and I would rather figure out why the DTS package won't recognize it.
Has anyone else run into a problem like this and if so, any tips on a possible solution?

what is the error that is generated?

Is it possible the creating program is keeping some type of hold on the file until you open it yourself?
