dts package option not available ins ql server 2005

    Hi,

    we have a dts package that moves data from one sql server to another sql server. Both of them have sql server 2000 as the database. Now we have converted one of our servers to sql server 2005. I am not able to see the DTS package in the sql server 2005. Also when I opened Sql server Business Intelligence Development studio I am not able to see DTS package option. What would be the possible ways to move data from sql server 2005 to sql server 2000?

    in the BI Dev Studio there is an option to use the import and export wizard. This is the fastest way I have found to create a package that copies data. You can then save as a package for later execution

    Everything you can imagine is real.

    use SSMS and look under Managment>legacy>Data Transformation Services.Import DTS package is here.Good luck.

    A couple of notes about importing DTS packages in SSMS:

    You have to have saved the packages as structured storage files first and you'll need to download and install the SQL 2000 DTS Designer components to be able to edit the packages.
