DTS Package Create Permission

    Hi,

    I need to give users DTS package creation and executing on a development server but I don't want to give them to create and run SQL Agent jobs. In fact I would like to give them noting more tham creating DTS packages and running them. How can I achieve this? I am running SQL 7.0 SP3. Please reply to r.wmalaratne@iaea.org

    Any one in the Public role can create the DTS package. But the execution success depends on what they are going implement in it. If your DTS package creates objects and data transfer it will fail since only dbo or DDL Admin can create the objects
