My DTS Package has a lot of unused connection entries (shown when I browse the package using Disconnected Edit or the package properties of a Dynamic Properties Task). I would like to purge unused items to keep the size of the package (held as a Structured Storage File .dts file). Any ideas?

We had this problem in SQL 7.0 SP1. Unused connections would be orphaned when the last icon was deleted. After we applied SP3 we were able to remove the orphanes by adding an icon and then removing it again.
Hope this helps.

Thanks. That works just fine! What I have to do is add a connection via the right click menu, choose an Existing connection and then Cut or Delete the icon. If I add a connection by dragging from the connections toolbar then I cannot delete the unwanted connection.
Thanks.
