  first question

  can any body tell me what are the advantages of using dts packages in database and why do we use it??

  second question

  i have seen a replication portion in database but never ever used it could you please tell me a little bit about it???

  DTS is used to import and export data to and from databases. It has been replaced by SQL Server Integration Services in SQL 2005.

  Replication is used to keep the data two or more databases synchronized.
