Good Morning! I've set up a DTS with a ftp task. I can grab the files I want, except for zip files.
Is there a limitaiton where the ftp task won't grab zip files?
If there is, whatwould be the best way around the issue?

I just used an FTP task to download a .zip file without any problems.
Maybe the user id you login to the ftp site with doesn't have permission to access the file.

I can gather csv files from the site, so i know the ftp task works. It is just having an issue with .zip files.
I'm going to try some activex code to process the downloads. Hopefully this will shake things up a bit.

Possible overactive Firewall/IDS blocking zip files?
Set FTP to binary? (Actually this should only cause corruption if set to ASCII, not prevent download, but throwing it out there.)
Have you manually(FTP on CMD) tried to get the files and see what errors occur? I think doing this will be your best troubleshooting method.

I think the firewall is my issue. I'll look into it with the network guys.
