Hi,
I used to call DTS stored in a network disk using DTSRun command and it used to run with out any problem.
But recently it started to break. DTS is returning with an error code 128 and this is not happening all the time. And also it is returning with error code 128 only after completing all the tasks with in the DTS.
Can somebody help me to figure out the issue?
Thanks.

I had the same problem with SQL2000 the other day. None of our DTS would run, or batch files, or Database Maintenance Plans... pretty much anything that shelled out to an external program failed with exit code 128. Was fine one day and then broken the next with no changes made to the server or the account being used to run the SQL Agent service.
Tried restarting the SQL Server Agent and it worked for one execution of a job (that called an external program) but then failed again.
Restarted SQL Server Service but no joy.
In the end I rebooted the server and it fixed it. Sadly, I still have no idea what caused it to fail.

I have seen about the same thing happen when virus scan software has been loaded on a pc. Sorry if this isn't your issue. All was working fine and then boom - one day the IT guy puts virus scan on the pc and they fail. I was shelling out to osql running jobs with the scheduler because the machine only had sql express with no agent. For some reason the virus scan software thought osql was a virus or something I don't know. The strange thing was I could execute osql from the command line but not automatically from the schedule, even though I used the same account to run both. Turned off virus scan and things worked after that. Take care.

Thanks for the suggestion/input.
I did see some stuff mentioned about AV but I couldn't see this being the case on the server in question.
It remains unexplained and truly irritating 🙁
