I have a series of DTS packages that I created on an instance of SQL Server 7.0. After I upgraded the server for these packages to SQL Server 2000, I attempted to enable package logging. When I attempt this, I receive an error message that "Package logging is only available on servers running an instance of SQL Server 2000."
Why doesn't DTS recognize that the package IS on an instance of SQL Server 2000? Can a DTS Package be upgraded to SQL Server 2000, and if so, what is the best way to do it?

I just found the answer on my own. In my Transform Data Task, I had checked the box for "7.0 format". The box is in the "Options" tab of the Properties dialog box. Once I unchecked this box, I could enable package logging.
