Books Online uses the term "DTS Connectivity" in the following context:
Many organizations need to centralize data to improve corporate decision-making. However, their data may be stored in a variety of formats and in different locations. Data Transformation Services (DTS) addresses this vital business need by providing a set of tools that lets you extract, transform, and consolidate data from disparate sources into single or multiple destinations supported by DTS connectivity.
I am wondering what the term "DTS Connectivity" means in this context. I would appreciate if someone explained it.

dts supports a number of different connection-objects, provided by the dts-environment itself.
e.g. oledb / sqlserver / text / odbc / access ...
open dts and create a new package : you'll see there is a number of icons in the "connection"-part at the upper left corner of the window.
