    when I run my package that is based on a query (which is running fine in Query Analizer) is giving an error message saying "Failed to copy 1 table(s)" and when I click the error column the message says "Invalid Pointer"

    Sounds like a problem with the package. Two things:

    1. can you run this package from another machine?

    2. Rebuild the package and see if that fixes it.

    Acttualy the "set nocount on" was missing from the query, after adding it is working fine
