Does anyone know how to open a DTS package that has a password in it - (if you don't have the password anymore?). For SQL Server 7.0

Yes, if he you have access to the master table there is a dts_ table that contains the password in plain text. Great security!

Which master table is it? I don't see one directly related to dts.

Don't know which version of SQL you're seeing this in.
DTS Packages are stored as a Binary object in the sysdtspackages table which resides in msdb.
I don't know any method for recovering a lost password from the DTS package.
