hi..
I searched lot in search engines ..but i didnt find DTA tool.
I need this software plase send me link to that tool.freesoftware tool for DTA.

The database engine tuning advisor is also called DTE and it is installed with the server. You can activate it from management studio. From the menu you have to select Tools and then select Database Engine Tuning Advisor.

I have installed SQL Server Management Studio express CTP.
In that I didnt find tools.

The Database tuning advisor is only included in Standard, Enterprise and Developer editions. You can either download a 180 day trial of Enterprise edition or you can buy developer edition ($50)

This changes the picture completely:-). Express edition doesn’t have DTE as part of the installation. Unfortunately I don’t know about a free tool that does the same job. One remark that is not connected to the subject – Why are you using a CTP? You can use a free version that is ready for production use.
