Dear Gurus,
I am not sure that is Decision Support Objects or simply DSO will be supported in later versions of MSSQL. I have checked the BOL and it displays a depreciated warning over all of DSO pages
Anyway, I am to build a new system and since DSO is being depreciated what should i use to ensure compatibility with future versions (which seems to be just around corner ) - OR -what is the SQL2k5 replacement of SQL2k's DSO ?
Thanks for reading.

You're looking for AMO (Analysis Management Objects). Here's a few links around AMO and porting DSO to AMO.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms345089.aspx
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms403376.aspx
As noted in the first link, AMO is not used for querying data, to do this, use ADOMD.net
HTH,
Steve.
