Difficult to know where to post this but here goes ...
So I'm working with a DSC guy on a DSC script to automate the creation of a 2 x node WSFC / Always On set up. Everything up to the creation of the AG & listener on node 1 seems to work fine. I attempt to add node 2 as a replica on node 2 and get connection errors. I don't have the exact error to hand but along the lines of ...
In the AO dashboard, on node 1, SQL recognises itself as the primary node, and node 2 as the 2nary but state is disconnected. On node 2, SQL sees it's own node as unknown state & node 1 as disconnected.
It feels like I've missed a step out on node 2 and the AG install is incomplete.
Have recreated but running the create AG wizards & that works fine so it's not an inherent problem with the build or network or firewall etc. It's purely AG wizard v. SqlAG AddAG & SqlAG AddAGListener & SqlAGReplica AddReplica.
Can't post the error or exact code right now as no access to the system but thoughts / ideas / step by steps or scripts gratefully accepted.
Thanks.
