Hi Karthigai,
The easiest thing to do is once the report has been rendered to excel, add a filter (or filters) to whatever column in the spreadsheet that you want a drop-down list on. Reports rendered to Excel provide you with great flexibility in regards to how you can look at the report data.

Hi Ed,
Actually I want to display the values in the dropdown based on some other sql query at the time of generating the report. I could not go for filter option. After generating the report, the user will export it into excel, do some modifcation and finally he will choose a value from the dropdown in the cell based on the changes he did and save. So i need to create the dropdown as above.
As far as I know, there is no option in SSRS to create any dropdown inside the report. Thanks for the reply
Thanks,
Karthik

Hi, Karthigai.
I also often need to make drop-down list in report, and I know a good free reporting tool which can realize it with ease.
Have a try of RAQ Report. With it, you can make drop-down list and drop-down tree easily.
