I'm having a problem importing data from an outside database. I wanted to bring in an Oracle database into S2K but when I attempted to setup the source connection, the "Next" button does absolutely nothing (used to work on the box I had before). As a work around, I thought I would import the Oracle database into Access and then bring it into SQL Server. I've got the data into Access, but now when I try to import into SQL, the Access driver does not appear in my Data Source list. And, in following the same mold as Oracle, when I try to open the connection using an ODBC, the "Next" button does nothing.
Any ideas?

Please allow me to ask another question. Where does the Data Source list come from when importing/exporting data via SQL Server? I ask becuase I thought it would come from the same list that appears when setting up an ODBC, however, that is not the case here.
I've reinstalled SQL Server, MMC, MDAC, rebooted, everything I can think of to get this list to appear but to no avail. Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

I've found a workaround to my problem (I used Access as a go-between) but I would still like to know where the Data sources list comes from when trying to do an import/export. What I see there does not match up with my system ODBC settings.
Anyone?

The Data Source list are the installed OLE DB Providers, of which you can choose the "Other (ODBC Data Source)" item for ODBC.

OK, I'll buy that. Now why doesn't my Next button work when I try to use "Other ODBC Data Source"? It does not matter which source I select, it like the button is ignored.
