drill down of cubes?

    This is Rajesh

    i have query regarding Analysis services

    i am new here

    my query is

    can i pass input data to a cube and get the filtered output as a cube according to the inputs given to the cube

    hi Rajesh,

    Cube is nothingbut a mere representation of blocks of data which has several dimension associated with it , by which we can slice and dice the cube.We cant give input to the cubes, because they are predefined structures by which we can extract the data we want.Basically cube enhances the querying process by reducing the retrival time of data.We can define dimension to different levels and hierachies.I think u will be more clear now 🙂
