On several servers Enterprise edition was installed by mistake and we want to move back to Standard. Is there any easy way to do this? In one particular case I'm trying to upgrade to QL 2005 but only have the Standard edition of it.
Anyone have any suggestions?

You can't downgrade from Enterprise to Standard edition. You need to remove the enterprise edition and then install standard. The same for the upgrade to 2005. You cannot upgrade from SQL 2000 Ent. to 2005 Std.

yeah, I agree with Markus as he mentioned you cannot just upgrade / move from 1 version to another of sql. You need to un-install and re-install the necessary edition depending on the volume of the data that the company transacts with their clients/vendors towards their application development/maintenance/support....
