Am I going mad here? I planning to upgrade our SQL Server 2005 we have about 35 to SP3. Two of our suppliers have come back and said that SP4 is the latest for SQL Server 2005.
Have searched the Microsoft site and cannot fine anything. I would have read somewhere is SP4 had been released, am I going mad does SP4 exist?

There is no SP4 for SQL 2005. There's an SP4 for SQL 2000, but the very latest for SQL 2005 is Service pack 3, cumulative update 4, released Jun 15 2009 (http://blogs.msdn.com/sqlreleaseservices/archive/2009/06/15/cumulative-update-4-for-sql-server-2005-service-pack-3.aspx)
If your suppliers are telling you to install SP4, ask them for a link to download it. 😀

Thanks for the reply Gila. I thought that was the case, but we are approaching a critical "window" patch weekend here and them asking for SP4, last minute just threw me completely!

Might be there be some sql server 2000 as well. They would have been talking about sp4 for them. But Truly there is no sp4 for yukon.

Just as a note. The projected pace for SPs is one a year. There is supposed to be SP1 at 6 months post RTM (slightly late for 2008), but then one a year. So I expect an SP4 for SQL Server 2005 before the end of this year, but later.
