Hi,
We have 2 node cluster with Drive letters with FileStream feature enabled.
Now, we want to install another instance in the same cluster but we are facing the drive letter limitation.
Questions:
1. Can we migrate the exiting databases to Mountpoints by creating a mount point and multiple folders inside and then restore the databases moving the mdf & ldf files to new mount point folders and then later delete the drives?
What is the process to achieve this?
2. Does Mount points on a cluster support FileStream?
Is there any good book which explains the cluster set up on Mount Points in detail?
Thanks

I just found the below link, which confirms the SQL Server 2008 does NOT support MountPoints with FileStream.
Is it still DOES NOT support in SQL Server 2008 R2 too?
Please advice

We are NOT using Veritas SFW disks.
