Documenting my Database Environment

  • Hi All,

Management is looking for a comprehensive document of our database environment, covering areas such as:

    •Tools used across the enterprise

    •Database management standards

    •Database back-up strategy

•Database current usage and projected growth

•Business archival requirements for each database

    •Disaster Recovery Strategy

    •Business Continuity Strategy

I can get the information, and can lay it out in a Word document, but think there must be a nicer way to present it.

So, I'm wondering if anyone has come across this type of document in some form that I could use as a template, or knows of a good place to look. I don't have enough time to take Powerpoint class, but I can probably stumble & click my way through.

  • Use Word. I've tried to get something "better", but really it just takes more time and gets the same result.
