  How can you create a document that list specfics of the file and also allows adding addition information about each field.

  I would think that would be something common.

  I tried to do it in the Diagram mode but when I drop the table to recreate I lost all information that was keyed into the document field.

  The are articles about, regarding the use of Extended Properties of objects to document a schema. Of course, those extended properties need to be assigned each time the object is created.
