Do I have the update that would include this patch/fix?

  • I apologize for the newbie question, but I can't figure this out. I am seeing a ton of messages in my SQL logs starting with "A time-out occurred while waiting for buffer latch".

I found a fix related to this problem here https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2545989

We do have snapshot isolation level turned on for this database.

Here are part of the results for SELECT @@version on this database: Microsoft SQL Server 2008 R2 (SP2) - 10.50.4042.0 (X64) Mar 26 2015 21:18:04

Do I have the patch that should address this? I read through all the links but I'm having trouble figuring it out. Thanks so much for any help.

  • Considering that this fix is included since version 10.50.1797.0, you should have it.
