Hi,
Can we set up replication for two environments such a way that both of them use only one server as a distributor?
I mean if we DevServerA, Dev ServerB, TestServerA, TestServerB, CommonDist servers.
I want to set up transactional replication between DevServerA acting as publisher, DevServerB acting as subscriber and CommonDist server acting as distributor.
again setting up push type transactional replication(one way only) between TestServerA acting as publisher, TestServerB acting as subscriber and CommonDist server acting as distributor.
Can we use the same server CommonDist as the distributor for both environments?
IF yes, For the first setup Distribution Db would be created and then for the second setup do i need to name distribution as different?
How would this work?
Thanks

Yes you can..
Setting up the distributor is the initial step in setting up Replication.., when setting up the common distributor, Add 2 publishers (one Dev and one Test)
For the second setup all you need to do is go to the Publisher and choose the distributor (Common Distributor).

As Bru said, you can easily do that. A single distributor can handle multiple publications. You just need to ensure that you do that - set up two distinct publications. One would be DevA and the other would be your TestA. The other servers would then be subscribers to their respective publications.
