  Hi there, this is a simple question and maybe a little too "beginner"!!

  I just upgrade a few servers from Windows 2000 to Windows 2003 and SQL Server 2000 SP 3(a) to Service Pack (4)

  If I go to EM from my current workstation, the DTC shows as OFF but from the server itself it shows ON, why is this? Does the services match up regardless of where are you seeing your server???

  Sorry, if this sounds to "DUHHH" but I am curious about the services redered by these. To do anything wioth these, do I have to be right in that machine??? Thank you

  try right click, refresh. EM is notorious for not refreshing information.

  I looked on EM and a couple needed to refresh to show the status.
