RS 101 question.. Editing a .RDL file in Reporting Services 'Layout' designer. HOW can I get a DATETIME column to display as a 10 character date on the report -- supressing the HHMMSS altogether? (eg. 2006-10-26) ... I'm using Vis. Studio 2005 w/ RS 2005
In Visual Studio LAYOUT mode, click the field you want to edit. Viewing the PROPERITES pane, in APPEARANCE, look for the FORMAT setting. Type a 'd' into the setting.
Or you can create a custom format using yy or yyyy for year; M, MM, MMM, or MMMM for month; and d or dd for day. Note, that M'sshould be capital. For example, to show 2006-10-26 the format string is yyyy-MM-dd
