DISK is running out of disk space.what methods should be taken to over come it ?

You really, really should hit the books. I hope you're not managing a production server at this point.
Anyway, there are generally two things that fill the drives, either data, in which case you just need to get more space, or logs. If it's logs it's usually because your database is in Full recovery mode, the default, and you haven't set up log backups. So, you need to consult with the business and determine what level of recovery they expect in a disaster. Then, you either set up log backups to meet those requirements or you switch the log to Simple recovery so that it's truncated on checkpoint.
