As part of my DRP i do daily full back-ups stored on disc.i have also set-up database mirroring. In case of:
1.principal server crushing---i promote the mirror
2.both servers crushing---i restore the most recent back-ups
3.etc
How good is such a strategy?Any Suggestions and improvements to this plan?

Where do you store the backups?
What happens if the server room becomes unavailable (power outage, fire, etc)?
Can you restore the backup and keep to your downtime SLA?

1. are the servers geographically isolated from each other?
do you have automatic fail over?
have you tested the fail-over and made sure any systems that connect to the sql server are fail-over aware?

Currently the application is not fail-over aware, servers are geographically isolated though in the same city.
