I have a production environment with SQL 7.0 on cluster. There is also a replication happening to a Report Machine. Now we are planning to have a disaster recovery site where the data from the Production environment should be synchronized to this site. Additional replication will affect the Performance. Can any one tell me which will be the best method to keep the data in sync...

One of the big bennifits you can give yourself with repliocation is have a seperate distributor instead of having it the same server as the publisher. Also if you are replication the same data to the other instance as the reporting machine the overhead of adding another subscriber is small compared to a new publication. Also consider the type of data being synced, if loss of 24 hrs is ok then you do not need to push as often as say an item that needs to be up to as close as possible to the second.
