Disabling SSRS 2005 - Best practises

  • Hello all,

I would like to disable SSRS on a server. I just wont to disable though; not remove, just in case I need to recover files. The reports are published in SharePoint now, the database server is the same as the Report Server and I don't want SSRS and IIS to get system resources.

What's the best way to do this? Would it be enough to just disable the services?

    Regards,

    Theo

  • Yes disabling the SSRS services at OS level is fair enough.

Do not disable IIS since SSMS tool part of SQL server 2005 depends on IIS to run it.

    Cheer Satish 🙂
